Is Missing Appointments with Us a Really Big Deal?

Posted on 8/9/2021 by OM
Is Missing Appointments with Us a Really Big Deal? Some appointments are acceptable to miss. Perhaps they do not have long-term consequences or cost you much money or time if you miss them. Dental appointments are important to keep. It is a big deal if you miss your dental appointment not just to our scheduling system but also your overall health.

Reasons You Should Not Miss Your Dental Appointment

You should not miss your dental appointment as that will cost you time and money down the road. Most dental benefit companies have a “use it or lose it” policy where if you do not use your benefits within a certain timeframe, you will lose them. Most dental benefit plans will cover two preventive appointments in a year, so you should both schedule your appointment and go to it. It could help prevent future problems.

Secondly, when you keep your dental appointments, we can help you to maintain your best smile. Keeping your teeth and gums and healthy is important to most people. A regular exam with us and a professional cleaning with our qualified hygienists can keep your smile looking good. By having your routine dental exam, professional cleaning, and necessary x-rays, you are setting yourself up for good dental health.

Lastly, it is important to go to your dental exams as we check your mouth for oral cancer and other diseases. An early-stage cancer diagnosis is often easily treatable. Often our patients do not notice abnormalities associated with oral cancer, but we have been trained to notice these issues.

We Want to Help You

Give us a call to set up your routine cleaning and check-up. It is important to come to your appointment so you can benefit from our services, your insurance policy and maintain your healthy smile.
